About

An international path into strategy.

Daisy Bei He is a strategy and international business scholar based in Singapore. Her work is shaped by a career that has moved between markets, disciplines, and forms of practice.

Daisy Bei He

Her research explores how firms make decisions under information complexity, particularly in international expansion, cross-border acquisitions, and CSR and ESG signalling.

Before entering academia, she spent more than five years developing overseas markets for a major Chinese multinational, with responsibility across several Eastern European countries. The work involved market development, partner relationships, cross-cultural negotiation, and the practical ambiguities of international growth.

She later studied in Japan and completed her PhD in Strategy & Entrepreneurship at Singapore Management University. Alongside research and teaching support, she has participated in early-stage entrepreneurship in Singapore—experience that keeps questions of market entry, operations, and business building close at hand.

Her long-term interests sit at the intersection of China globalization, Southeast Asia, international strategy, and entrepreneurship.
